Club Update: 4/22/20 – Board Message – Evaluations, Tryouts, Our Commitment

Dear All JSC Families,

As we continue down this path of instability and uncertainty due to COVID-19, please know that the board at Jeffersonville Soccer Club is frequently meeting to assess the current environment. We cannot possibly understand all of our members situations, but once we are through this unprecedented time, we can assure you that Jeffersonville Soccer Club will be ready! We will be ready to get the kids back on the field with their friends in a safe and healthy environment. Unfortunately, JSC does not believe that time is right now. We have decided to postpone our tryouts. We are not going to provide another date for tryouts at this time, as we do not feel that would be prudent. JSC will continue to assess the situation and frequently communicate with our current and prospective families.

What does this mean for my child?
JSC is a viable option for anyone in the area to play soccer for the upcoming 2020/2021 season. In an uncertain environment, JSC will be here for the kids of the Norristown area. JSC is positioned well to quickly react to any changes that come our way. When our State soccer society (EPYSA) and our league (ICSL) indicate that we are able to move forward, we will quickly assemble and organize to have our kids ready to play. JSC will be frequently communicating with you over the next few weeks/months (hopefully weeks) to keep you informed of how we plan to move forward.

What can you do to help?
First and foremost, take care of yourselves and your families. They are the most important part of our lives. Second, register for our tryouts. While we are uncertain of the timing of our tryouts, it is important for our planning to understand the number of teams we believe we will have in the upcoming year. In order to register, please click here! Lastly, encourage your children to go outside and kick a ball around. JSC recently posted a video on Facebook of some great drills the kids can utilize. This is a great opportunity for the kids to get some exercise and refine their skills! After you view the video don’t forget to Like it!

JSC would like to thank all of our members and prospective members for their patience during this unprecedented time. JSC is here to answer any questions you may have regarding our upcoming season. Please reach out directly to our President, Jeff Winters (jwinters@jvillesc.com).

Yours in Soccer,

Jeffersonville Soccer Club
